The book “Little Foxes” written by Michael Morpurgo is an adventure story. The story is about a little orphan boy named Billy, who was left at a police station by his parents. After the police sent him to the school, Billy had often been bullied at school. Auntie May always nagged at him. The only place he felt comfort was in a wilderness and a church nearby.
Billy was an abandoned child, he was fostered by many families, but he was unable to find a good home. He stuttered, and was not good at studying. Loneliness tormented him because he had no friends at school. When he saved a swan from kids who liked torturing animals, suddenly he didn’t stammer. He was no longer afraid of reading aloud in class. Billy saved the swan and little fox, they also saved Billy. Lastly Billy found his real ascription. When Billy saved the swan and fox, Billy showed his extraordinary courage and perseverance.
The minor characters are the little fox and the little swan. Billy had a hard-time when he was a child, but he always felt love and compassion for animals. People around him didn't give him a lot of care and love. This drew him closer to animals. He was enthusiastic of caring for animals and nature. After experiencing all kinds of hardships and ugly things, he still retains the kindness and innocence.
I think the most exciting part is when Billy saved the little swan and the little fox. After saving the little fox and swan. He took good care of them. The little swan flew away and Billy decided to run away with little fox. In the end he found Joe, Joe adopted Billy and little fox, and then they saw the swan in the sky. The swan lead them to Joe.
When you give your care and kindness to people or animals, some one will always return these acts of kindness and return. It let me see, in the world, the existence of compassion, love, friendship between animals and kids. cThe author wants to tell children this kind of indeed friendship is really precious.
The final opinion about acts of kindness extends the importance of empathy and social skills. I completely agree with you that animals help us to interact with more gentleness. Little Foxes is an inspiring book and we should all remember the importance of woodland ecosystems and the habitats of little creatures.
